New commercial leadership for Amadeus

Amadeus has announced the appointment of Iain Raeper as its regional commercial manager for Scotland and the north-east of England.

Raeper will help to grow Amadeus’ relationships with existing customers in the area as well as driving new customer acquisition in Scotland and the north-east of England.

He will be based in Scotland.

He said: “I fully endorse Amadeus’ company values of ‘customers first’ and ‘working together’ in partnership, so I am looking forward to helping the company demonstrate its commitment in the region with the creation of this new role.

“Scotland and the North East is a flourishing region with a lot to offer, and I am confident that my experience within the corporate segment and my extensive network of industry professionals in the area will help Amadeus strengthen and expand its customer base.”

Raeper brings nearly 20 years’ travel experience to Amadeus, having previously worked at tour operator If Only…, where he was business development manager for Scotland and north-east England.

Prior to this, he worked for bmi in a range of roles including corporate account manager, cabin crew recruitment and training, and company ambassador.

Raeper has also worked for a number of international organisations including Barrett International Resorts/MacDonald Hotels and Flying Colours.

Maria Whiteman at Amadeus added: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Iain Raeper in the newly created role of regional commercial manager, Scotland and the north-east.

“I know from previous roles in the travel industry just how constraining it is to have the wrong technology in place.”
