National Car Rental and Signature Flight Support announce New Partnership

The National Car Rental brand and Signature Flight Support will begin partnering at Signature’s global network of fixed base operations (FBO), together serving some of the world’s most discriminating travelers and business customers, starting April 1st.

“The partnership between National Car Rental and Signature Flight Support aligns two organizations that share a commitment to providing world-class service and exceeding customers’ expectations,” said Andy Taylor, CEO and Chairman of Enterprise Holdings, which owns and operates National Car Rental along with the Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Alamo Rent A Car brands. “With a focus on delivering premium service to frequent airport travelers, National is perfectly suited to serve Signature’s unique customer base, and we look forward to doing so in the years to come.”

“Signature Flight Support is committed to providing our customers, both crew and passengers, with world-class service at every location and for every need.  National Car Rental’s and Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s rankings in service, quality, availability and value match our Signature Service Promise,” stated S. Michael Scheeringa, President, Signature Flight Support. “Our customers are our first consideration when choosing partners to provide services at our locations. National Car Rental’s ability to provide a world-class ground transportation solution for our customers on a global basis drove our decision.”

National’s new multi-year agreement with Signature Flight Support reflects how the premier airport car rental brand continues to build momentum in the highly competitive airport market. In 2007, National Car Rental, along with Alamo Rent A Car, was acquired by privately held Enterprise Holdings, which has owned and operated the Enterprise Rent-A-Car brand since 1957.

Almost five years later, the premier status of the National brand has been restored, reflecting millions of dollars invested in facility upgrades, customer service support and Emerald Club enhancements. Thisremarkable turnaround has not escaped the U.S. travel industry’s notice: the SmarterTravel Editors’ Choice Award went to the Emerald Club in both 2010 and 2011 as the “Best Rental Car Loyalty Program.”  Moreover, Executive Travel magazine recognized National as the top rental car service in the travel industry, honoring the brand with its “Leading Edge Awards.”

“This kind of recognition helps confirm what we firmly believe – that ongoing attention to detail drives long-term loyalty, trust and confidence,” explained Taylor. “And that is why we work so hard, day in and day out, to exceed the expectations of our customers as well as valued partners like Signature.”

Signature’s customers are encouraged to enroll in National’s Emerald Club program and those that do so by April 30, 2012 will receive a complimentary upgrade to Emerald Club Executive Status.  For those interested in taking advantage of the benefits offered by National’s Emerald Club, enrollment is free and can be done by visiting www.nationalcar.com/signature. When traveling in Europe, Signature customers will be serviced by the Enterprise Rent-A-Car brand.
