MSC Cruises offers new ports of call and expanded cultural experience

MSC Cruises offers guests unique European cultural experiences on several special summer 2012 itineraries that include overnight calls at St. Petersburg in the Russian Federation and new itineraries calling in Dublin and Cork, Ireland.

These itineraries offer the opportunity to explore St. Petersburg in greater depth with overnight stays. Guests can enjoy the city’s artistic and architectural treasures, including the Hermitage, one of the world’s greatest art museums, and the elaborate design of Catherine’s Palace.

Itineraries that include overnights in St. Petersburg are:

May 11: MSC Lirica 11-night “Fairytale Cities and Russian Treasures,” roundtrip from Hamburg, calling in Stockholm, Tallin, Copenhagen and Amsterdam.

May 22: MSC Lirica roundtrip from Hamburg on the 10-night “Historic Russia & the Baltic,” calling in Stockholm, Tallin and Copenhagen.
June 1: MSC Lirica roundtrip from Hamburg on the 12-night “Baltic Wonders & Russian Treasures,” calling at Stockholm, Tallin, Copenhagen, Ijmuiden and Amsterdam.
May 3 and 13: MSC Opera 10-night roundtrip from Southampton on the “Czarist Russia Revealed,” calling at Stockholm, Ijmuiden and Copenhagen.

Among the line’s newest itineraries are two that take guests to Dublin and Cork on roundtrip sailings on MSC Lirica:
Aug. 6 and 17 from Amsterdam, Aug. 7 and 18 from Hamburg: 11-night “Grand Gaelic Isles,” calling at South Queensferry, Invergordon, Stornoway, Kirkwall, and Oban.

Aug. 28 (from Amsterdam) and Aug. 29 (from Hamburg): 10-night “Legendary Lochs & Leprechauns,” calling at South Queensferry, Invergordon, Kirkwall and Oban.

Take advantage of a special promotion when you purchase an interior stateroom with rates from $1,229 per person and get upgraded to an ocean view stateroom. Kids 17 and younger staying in the same stateroom as two full-fare paying guests sail for just $99. Government fees and taxes of $41.73 per person are additional. Ask for the Early Booking Upgrade.
