Las Colinas Golf & Country Club has been heralded as Spain’s Best Golf Course at the World Golf Awards.

Voted for by the public and announced at a glittering ceremony in Portugal’s Algarve, this prestigious award ceremony is committed to supporting, promoting and developing the global golf tourism industry by identifying and rewarding excellence in class.

The ‘Best Course in Spain’ category’s core criteria is to highlight the course that delivers at the very highest level across a wide range of areas, from quality of layout and pristine course conditioning to outstanding front of house experience and service.

It was Las Colinas’ ability to provide such a first-class offering across the board, all-year round, that saw the vote swing their way in the end.

Silvia Llanes, marketing, quality and innovation director at Gmp, the Spanish real estate group that own Las Colinas, commented: “Firstly I would like to thank everyone that voted for us in this competitive category.

“This year has been a tremendous year for Las Colinas Golf & Country Club having been named Spain’s Leading Villa Resort at The World Travel Awards and to now be voted best golf course in Spain is a moment of immense pride for everyone involved in creating the world a part experience we are always striving to achieve.

“I would particularly like to raise a toast to our head greenkeeper and his team who all possess a passion for their jobs like I have never witnessed before.”
