Key appointments at Dorchester Collection to drive US sales

Dorchester Collection has announced the appointment of two new senior executives to take leading positions in sales and marketing for its three UK hotels – The Dorchester and 45 Park Lane in Mayfair, and Coworth Park in Ascot.

The duo, who will report into regional director and general manager of the Dorchester, Robert Whitfield, are tasked with driving growth into the North American market.

Matthew Rowlette was appointed area director of sales and marketing effective while Susannah Lurie was appointed director of sales for North America.

Rowlette who originally hails from Canada, reports directly to Whitfield, and will be responsible for driving top line revenue, marketing, sales and reservation strategies to achieve global growth.

He joins from the Four Seasons as senior director of sales for the UK collection; which includes Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane, Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire and Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square.

Rowlette was fundamental in the strategic direction of sales leadership and spearheading market positioning, communications and awareness.

Reporting to Rowlette, Lurie will support the sales drive with a focus on the North American market.

She joins from almost 20 years with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts beginning in Park Lane before opening Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire as director of marketing.

This followed with a move to manage the North American market for the three Four Seasons properties based in the UK.

Both appointments mark a progressive chapter for the hotel group with key hires focused on driving growth into the North American market.
