William Ruto, vice president of the Republic of Kenya has visited Leopard Beach Resort & Spa to congratulate the property following its recent success at the World Travel Awards.

Leopard Beach was recognised by the industry leading organisation as Kenya’s Leading Resort, Kenya’s Leading Beach Resort and Africa’s Leading Spa Resort at the 2014 World Travel Awards Africa regional finals.

Ruto was accompanied by Lucy Karume, chairperson of the Tourism Recovery Task Force, Kenyan cabinet secretary for tourism Phyllis Kandie and the managing director of the award winning Kenya Tourist Board, Muriithi Ndegwa.

They were greeted at the property by owner Chris Modigell.

The award is the fifth consecutive victory for Leopard Beach Resort & Spa at the World Travel Awards, with a winning run stretching back to 2010.
