Hotel Verta & The London Heliport unveiled by Pam Ann

Hotel Verta, situated on the Thames at Battersea has launched and was unveiled by international jet set air stewardess Pam Ann (Caroline Reid) this morning. Part of von Essen hotels it is a departure from the norm and offers a unique hotel experience to leisure and business guests coming to London. Pam Ann is resident in-house air stewardess at Hotel Verta for the coming few weeks ahead of her West End tour dates.

From the beginning, the hotel was always going to be different-being the only hotel in Europe adjoined to a heliport was just the start! The design of the hotel has elevated it to South London’s best hotel.

Travelling through the hotel is a journey in itself. On arrival, the feel is one of late 30’s glamour with references to the golden age of aviation. The fusion of gold metallic, anthracite and cream colours take guests and passengers back to an era of glamorous and sophisticated travel, where every need is taken care of and every demand is met. If you are here to dine, you will leave full and happy, if you are here to sleep, you will get the best nights sleep ever in a triple glazed luxury bedroom- arguably and ironically London’s quietest bedrooms! If you are here to relax, you will emerge from the subterranean spa with a glow and if you are here to fly, you will travel in the utmost luxury in the speediest of manners.

Hotel Verta is different. It is exciting. It is glamorous. It is open!

The subterranean two level spa offers a subtle design led experience where water, oils and heat combine in an oasis of calm which includes four treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room and sanarium and a hydro-vitality pool. Anne Semonin has the largest presence at the spa with Comfort Zone and Mama Mio also offering treatments and retail products. Finally the Technogym offers leading gym equipment.

The bespoke furniture and commissioned artwork around the hotel along with the unique Verta soundtrack played across various parts of the hotel all add to the special post industrial glamorous feel.
