Goldman to lead Omni Providence Hotel

Omni Providence Hotel, Rhode Island’s premier landmark hotel connected to the Rhode Island Convention Centre, has announced the appointment of Burnell Goldman as general manager for the luxury downtown hotel.

In this role, he will oversee all departments including operations, sales and marketing, rooms, risk management and food and beverage.

A ten-year veteran with Omni Hotels & Resorts, Goldman joins Omni Providence Hotel from Omni Jacksonville Hotel in Florida, where he served as general manager since 2013.

During his time at the property, he oversaw a large-scale renovation and contributed to the hotel’s consecutive local recognition as the best place to work in the city.

Prior to that position, Goldman led the Omni Majestic Hotel in St. Louis for more than two years as general manager by helping achieve a hotel record of 122.4 per cent of budgeted EBITDA and 11.4 per cent RevPAR growth year-over-year.

He joined Omni Hotels & Resorts in 2006 as the director of rooms at the Omni Severin Hotel.

Prior to Omni Hotels & Resorts, Goldman held a range of leadership positions for Interstate Hotels & Resorts Worldwide working at properties in Chicago, New York, Northern Virginia and Las Vegas.

Goldman earned a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration.
