Four Seasons Bali introduces New Resort manager Ilkin Ilyaszade

Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay announces the appointment of Ilkin Ilyaszade as Resort Manager.

With a career spanning 17 years in hotel and business management in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Singapore, Ilkin is keen to bring his well versed experience in luxury hotel operations across the globe to add value to the Resort and flourish its services, facilities, operations and guest experiences.

A Canadian/Azerbaijani national, Ilkin has held positions as revenue manager, front office manager, director of rooms, hotel manager and several senior corporate roles such as group human resources and operations projects, which led him to his most recent role as the assistant vice president and corporate director of a luxury hotel chain in Asia.

A remarkable academic, 37 year old Ilkin, who speaks fluent English, Russian, Turkish and Azeri, boasts an MBA degree from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, as well as a degree in Economics from Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. He is also a graduate of Cornell University’s General Managers Program in the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management in the USA.

His academic projects have been published by Harvard Business School in the area of investments and financial entrepreneurship and he has been actively involved in various CSR-related initiatives such as environmental, conservation, aid and community projects across Asia, Peru and Kenya.

As Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, Ilkin is primarily responsible for overseeing the property’s day-to-day operations, working closely with all departments – from spa, food and beverage, rooms and concierge to engineering and human resources. Fueled by a passion to bring his strong business acumen and educational background to the Resort in a three dimensional manner that he says is about “people, product and profit.”

With an insatiable appetite for success, Ilkin also believes in balance and recreation and is a keen chess player who practices Brazilian jiu-jitsu and muay Thai. The fighting fit Ilkin who grew up as a child in the mountainous village in Caucasus in the Republic of Georgia is also a keen jogging and cycling enthusiast who is eager to discover the diverse terrains and cultures of his new island home.
