Flybe announces another new French route from Southampton

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline and the UK’s Number One Domestic carrier, has added another new route to regional France from Southampton International Airport, this time to Nantes, Brittany’s most important commercial hub and the sixth largest city in France, with a daily year-round service starting on 28th October.  Tickets are on sale now at www.flybe.com from £39.99 one way including taxes and charges

This new route will increase to 6 the number of Flybe routes to France alone offered during winter 2012-13 from Southampton with a choice of up to 78 flights a week.

Simon Lilley, Flybe’s Director of Marketing, comments: “We have an established reputation for serving regional France and our new route linking Southampton with Nantes will offer travellers yet another attractive option.”

Southampton Airport, Managing Director, Dave Lees, adds: “We’re delighted by the news that Flybe will be offering a regular service to Nantes. Not only are we serving the holidaymakers from the south with the flexibility of daily flights, but this route will also benefit people with second homes in France and International students at the language schools and universities in the area.”

With the addition of the new route to Nantes, Flybe’s 2012-13 comprehensive winter schedule from Southampton now offers travellers a total choice of up to 304 flights a week on 22 popular routes including a wide choice of UK destinations, regular flights to Limoges, Bergerac and Rennes and the return of the ever popular twice weekly ski services to Chambery and Geneva and once weekly to Salzburg.
