Five dead following Ukraine plane crash

At least five people are reported to have been killed in a plane crash in the Ukraine.

The internal charter flight, operated by Odessa-based Pivdenni Avialinii, was carrying football fans when it caught fire as it attempted an emergency landing in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk.

It was travelling from the Black Sea resort of Odessa with more than 40 people on board when it overshot the runway at Donetsk airport.

A further 12 injuries were reported.

The football fans had been on their way to a Champions League match in the city between Shakhtar Donetsk and Borussia Dortmund of Germany.
