Abacus International has announced an exclusive content agreement with Taiwanese carrier Far Eastern Air Transport.

Under the agreement, Far Eastern Air Transport will provide Abacus connected travel agents with full access to fares and inventory, and only Abacus agents will be able to book directly for the airline.

Established in 1957, focusing on chartered flights early in its history, Far Eastern Air Transport started scheduled flights in 1965 and soon became the top brand in Taiwanese domestic routes.

It was granted the rights to fly regular international flights in 1996, and started cargo operations within Asia in 2004.

It is now operating the Taipei (Songshan) - Kaohsiung, Kinmen, Magong route with plans for international flights.

The cross-strait regular flight service from 8 cities in China was officially launched on October 31st 2011.

Today it serves 15 cities in China and around Asia.

With this agreement, Abacus-connected travel agents can look forward to the ability to book and ticket Far Eastern Air Transport content through an integrated user-friendly guided workflow.
