EMITT welcomes new international countries to Turkey

The East Mediterranean International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (EMITT) has welcomed Argentina, Hungary, Czech Republic, Italy, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Slovenia and Venezuela for the first time to the 16th annual edition of the event.

EMITT is the fifth largest tourism exhibition in the world and brought together 4500 participants from over 60 countries in 2011. The exhibition is renowned for having the highest number of international exhibitors in Turkey. In 2012 the event has grown by 15% compared to last year.

The increased number of participating countries in EMITT each year demonstrates the high level of interest of the tourism world to Turkey, indicated by the fast growth of the exhibition.

Greece, South Africa Republic and the Russian Federation will also be at the exhibition with a larger presence. The first two days of the exhibition will be reserved for tourism professionals.  The last two days will be open to the public.
Hacer Aydın, Director, EKIN, commented “EMITT is an important event for the global tourism industry. The exhibition attracts national tourism agencies, tour operators and hotels, and Turkish travel agencies, who wish to showcase their countries and services to the Turkish market. We get positive feedbacks from the countries which promoted their destinations at EMITT. It’s important to share experiences in the tourism market and tourism professionals get a chance to meet other professionals from different countries at EMITT.”
