Embassy Suites Hotels today announced the opening of the Embassy Suites Savannah-Airport, the first full service hotel off the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) exit 104.

The hotel features Georgia’s first Flying Spoons, Embassy Suites’ new “hip-casual” restaurant concept, and the brand’s innovative and cost-effective Design Option III Prototype. Located at 145 West Mulberry Blvd, the all-suites property is just five minutes from the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) off 1-95.The hotel is both managed and owned by A&M Hospitalities, LLC of Valdosta, Ga.

“We are excited to expand our presence in Georgia as we open the first Embassy Suites in the Savannah area and the first Flying Spoons restaurant in the state,” said Jim Holthouser, global head of Embassy Suites Hotels and full-service brands, Hilton Worldwide. “With close to 75 percent of our development pipeline featuring the Design Option III build, developers are recognizing the outstanding product and tremendous value offered in the new option.”

The Design Option III prototype offers guests all of the same core amenities traditional Embassy Suites properties are renowned for such as two-room suites, complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast, complimentary nightly Manager’s Reception* and open-air atrium, but with a more cost-effective and environmentally-friendly design. Guests familiar with the brand will notice the suites offer a side-by-side room layout for a more residential feel.

Part European-style café and part American coffeehouse, Flying Spoons offers lighter fare, from home-made soups, fresh garden salads and Panini-style sandwiches, to entree selections such as sesame glazed salmon, braised beef ribs, filet mignon and Sorrento grilled chicken. The menu will feature a selection of pastries and desserts, along with specialty coffee drinks, teas and boutique soft drinks. Flying Spoons will offer convenient hours of operation for guests, no matter the travel schedule. The restaurant will be open from 11 am to 10 pm.
