Embassy Suites Orlando - Lake Buena Vista South Celebrates Topping Out

Developed by Sierra Land Group, the 300-suite, 11-story hotel is being built by Hardin Construction at the corner of State Road 535 and Kyng’s Heath Road in Kissimmee, Fla. Helman Hurley Charvat Peacock/ Architects, Inc. (HHCP) designed the hotel and Sierra Lodgings, Inc. will operate the property. Construction began in April 2011 and the hotel is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2012.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Sierra Land Group on their first Embassy Suites property,” said Jim Holthouser, global head of Embassy Suites Hotels and Full Service Brands, Hilton Worldwide. “They were looking for a brand that will perform consistently, and Embassy Suites is a proven success across market conditions, commanding enviable satisfaction and loyalty scores. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with Sierra Land Group.”

When the hotel opens in late 2012, it will house 40,000 square feet of meeting space, making it one of the largest Embassy Suites, in terms of meeting size, in the country. The space includes ballrooms, boardrooms, two outdoor terraces and pre function space.

The hotel will also feature all of the signature amenities standard at any Embassy Suites hotel, including a lush atrium, free cooked-to-order breakfast each morning, a complimentary two-hour Manager’s Reception* each evening, two-room suites with a separate living area, private bedroom and wet bar fitted with a microwave, mini-fridge and coffee maker.  Suites will also be equipped with two 37-inch flat-screen high-definition televisions. The property will also offer complimentary fitness and business centers.

“We are pleased to bring an Embassy Suites to Osceola County,” stated Eric Rosenbaum, vice president of Sierra Lodgings, Inc., a subsidiary of Sierra Land Group.  “Embassy Suites is an exciting brand with tremendous guest loyalty,” says Rosenbaum, “and our two organizations share the same passion and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to our guests.”

The hotel is expected to employ approximately 200 team members upon completion.
