Carlson appoints Tammy Lee Stanoch as VP corporate communications

Carlson, a global hospitality and travel company headquartered in Minneapolis, announced the appointment of Tammy Lee Stanoch as vice president, Corporate Communications. Stanoch will began her new role on July 23 and report to Elizabeth Bastoni, executive vice president, chief Human Resources and communications officer.

“Tammy’s extensive experience in the airline and travel industry will be an important asset to Carlson as we continue to build global awareness of the Carlson brand in the hospitality and travel sectors.  She will play a key role in the development and implementation of Carlson’s communications strategies in support of our Ambition 2015,” said Bastoni.

In her role, Stanoch will be responsible for leading the internal and external communications function for Carlson. In this capacity, she will lead media and public relations, community affairs and support the Carlson CEO and executive team on public affairs matters.

Stanoch brings more than a decade of airline, travel and hospitality experience to Carlson — including senior leadership positions at Delta®, Northwest Airlines, US Airways, Sun Country Airlines and The Mark Travel Corporation.  Within the travel industry, Stanoch has held strategic positions in marketing, public relations, corporate communications, corporate affairs and government relations. 

Most recently, Stanoch was the vice president of corporate and foundation relations at the University of Minnesota Foundation, where she helped create strategic partnerships with the private sector and advance global strategies in the areas of food, health, education and sustainability.

She has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, Minn. and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mass Communication and Political Science from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn.
