FORT WORTH, Texas - American Airlines said the paper ticket fee increase from $10 to $20 for those customers who qualify for an electronic ticket, which was announced earlier today, will be effective immediately.

The fee applies only to customers who purchase air travel on American and American Eagle through the AA.com website, AA Reservations, at Travel Centers and at airports.
