Nikko plans new China project

A new five-star addition to the Nikko
Hotels International group will be built along an old canal, a five- to 10-
minute-drive from the center of Wuxi, in China.Wuxi is an industrial city
that has recently become a prime business location for foreign companies in
China. It also has many sightseeing attractions.
  Hotel Nikko Wuxi, owned by Chinese company Wuxi International Business
Center Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Wuxi Sushun Investment Group Co., Ltd.
China, one of the largest real estate developers in Wuxi, will have 500
guest rooms in a 16-story building. The hotel’s facilities will include
Japanese, Chinese and buffet restaurants, a wine bar and banquet rooms.
  Wuxi, with a population of over 4 million, is located along the lower
Chang Jiang River (also called Yangtze River) in the eastern part of China,
about 75 miles from Shanghai. Lake Taihu, one of China’s largest fresh
water lakes, is in the south of the city, Chang Jiang River is in the north
and canals traverse the city. The canal cruises, historical monuments and
temples, and the gardens and parks with magnificent views all help make
Wuxi a draw for tourists.
