The Sheraton Taipei has set up a 20-member butler department and is making impeccable service the hotel’s trademark.Following a US$77 million total revamp last year, the 688-room Sheraton Taipei continues to woo high-end business travelers with new services and amenities.

The launch of a butler department, with a 20-member team certified by the renowned Guild of Professional English Butlers, in October last year, takes the spotlight because it pioneers a new executive butler concept and raises the bar in Taiwan.

Guests who stay in any of the 124-suite Executive Floors and 30 suites on other floors enjoy the service.

General Manager, Mr. Josef Dolp, said: “We have created a one-stop shop for our top-tier guests, offering a premium, personalized and tailor-made service. While they are busy with doing business, their errands are well-taken care of.”

Half the butler team is female and was specially recruited and trained to take care of women travelers.

The multitalented executive butlers play the role of personal assistant and travel secretary and each is equipped with a PDA to stay in seamless contact with guests.

Another exclusive touch is the purchase of a new hand-built Bentley Continental Flying Spur limousine, only one of five available in Taiwan, and comes with a massage seat.
