Macdonald Hotel opens luxury spa

A new, luxury Health and Beauty Spa is opening at the Macdonald Berystede Hotel, South Ascot this April. There are a range of membership options now on offer for those living nearby as well as a selection of sumptuous spa day programmes available for all. The spa is part of the hotel’s £11 Million pound redevelopment which also includes a new rooftop terrace for the Hyperion restaurant for dining al fresco, a function suite for up to 300 guests, upgraded bedrooms and a complete refurbishment of all lounges and bars.

Facilities at the new, contemporary style leisure retreat will include an 18-metre heated indoor swimming pool and a thermal suite offering a variety of therapies such as an infra red sauna, rock sauna, aromatic steam room, salt infusion and a cold room. Guests can also unwind under sensation or massage showers before heading to the relaxation and refreshment areas.

Fitness equipment in the spa’s 150-square metre Technogym will provide finely tuned cardiovascular and strength training. Qualified trainers and motivators will plan routines for members who are given their own cordless ‘key’. The key contains details of a guests personal training programme and activates the equipment automatically, selecting the required workload. The ‘Excite’ range of equipment features an individual plasma display on each machine with access to various TV and Radio channels along with a detailed breakdown of workout data.

In the VITAL Beauty suite, six softly lit treatment rooms will be used by experienced therapists offering a range of top-to-toe therapies for men and women.  Treatments will include a series of rejuvenating facials for all skin types; body programmes combining unique oriental massage techniques with warm aromatic balms; hot stones therapy and a Velvet Body Polish. Luxurious Decleor products from Paris provide a unique spa experience using an aromatherapy based programme

The various membership options at VITAL have been designed with flexibility in mind and include ultimate membership, offering considerable savings on treatments each month.  One off joining fees to use all the spa facilities are £300 per person or £500 for joint membership plus a monthly subscription, which starts from just £57.50 per person. Special offers on joining fees are available for all pre-opening members. Space at the club is limited however with a tight restriction on numbers.
