Travel Tech Show relocates

Centaur Exhibitions is relocating the Travel Technology Show to Earls Court 2 for 2007, where it will occupy a much larger space and continue to sit alongside the Business Travel Show.

The third Travel Technology Show, which closed its doors yesterday, saw significantly increased exhibitor and visitor figures.

“The Travel Technology Show has become Europe’s principal business exhibition for technology suppliers to meet and do business with buyers from the travel industry,” explained Event Director Neil Simpson. “Each year it continues to evolve and to grow, and the planned move to Earls Court 2 in 2007 represents our commitment to the sector and the continual development of the show to meet the demands of the industry.”

Over 100 companies exhibited at this year’s show, including the likes of Amadeus, Anite Travel Systems, Comtec, Dolphin Dynamics, Mobycards, Opatia, Netizen, SITA Inc, Telme, Travel Technology Systems, Web Marketplace Solutions and Worldspan.
Richard Turner, Sales Director at Comtec - exhibitor and the show’s Official Tour Operator Technology Partner - confirmed he had enjoyed a busy, business-driven 48 hours: “We’re anticipating the 2006 event will prove the most successful for Comtec yet. The show delivered a significant number of good quality prospects in Comtec’s target market and offered a broad range of sponsorship and speaking opportunities which helped greatly to maximise our profile both prior to and during the event”

Although visitor figures are yet to be confirmed, initial indications show that visitor numbers were up by over 10 per cent year on year. The show’s features, which included the educational Seminar Programme, the free Product Presentation Theatre and the Advice Centre, were also hugely popular.
