Online travel community adds guidebook content
RealTravel is joining forces with Moon Handbooks in a bid to expand its readership and travel content.
RealTravel lets travelers create personal travel blogs, or travel journals, with detailed route maps, embedded photos and recommendations, and allows them to easily share these blogs with friends and family. This service will be extended to Moon travel guidebook readers, giving them an avenue to share their own travel experiences.
“RealTravel is the best place on the web for travelers to share and find relevant travel information from like-minded travelers,” says Ken Leeder, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of RealTravel. “We want to make our members aware of the excellent information Moon travel guides provide while at the same time giving Moon’s dedicated readers the ability to share their own travel experiences on RealTravel.”
“This partnership will strengthen the needs of both people looking for reliable and relevant travel information and those travelers who want to share their own experiences with others.”
Moon’s expert authors provide information covering more than 100 destinations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, and Asia and the Pacific.
“We’ve been extremely impressed with RealTravel’s mix of vision and technology,” said Moon publisher Bill Newlin, “and we look forward to working with them to give travelers the benefit and tool of high quality research and mapping, in the context of their shared experiences.”
