Resort Association Moves to New Call Center Platform

Big Bear Lake Resort Association in Southern California, has chosen to switch to InntopiaCRS for its central reservations call center technology. The move mirrors a switch that many destination resorts have made in the last year to this ASP platform.
“We’re seeing a greater demand in the destination marketplace for the InntopiaCRS model, as supported by the nearly half dozen resort associations to turn to us in the last year,” shares Inntopia president Trevor Crist. “I think that these groups see the technology as very flexible, easy to use and train on, and scalable.”

InntopiaCRS is a hosted, browser-based model that integrates the call center seamlessly with Internet reservations at the reservation center’s Web site and GDS and IDS providers, allowing for greater distribution of inventory. The system also makes it easy for both agents and guests to dynamically build packages with lodging, activities and air bookings.

“We chose to switch to InntopiaCRS for many reasons,” says Cherie Scott, director of visitor information services for the resort association. “Mostly we think that this product is well aligned with our goals for future growth. It will be easy to train our agents and our member lodging and activity providers, we can utilize all the power of the Web, and we’ll have a robust in-house solution that will meet our guest and member needs.”

The installation date of InntopiaCRS is November 1, 2005.
