Hotelzon Enters UK and German Markets

Hotelzon has strengthens its position in the two largest European travel markets by acquiring Res-O-Tel Ltd. The two new subsidiaries are the latest addition to a fast-growing network, which already consists of operations through subsidiaries and partners in Belgium, Denmark, China, Finland, Italy, Russia, Sweden, Norway and USA.

Res-O-Tel Ltd is a hotel booking agency founded in 1987 by Mr. Peter Ducker, who will continue to work with the company during transition period. The aim of the company has always been to provide the corporate market with unrivalled service standards.

Mr. Frank Tillmanns has been appointed Managing Director of Hotelzon Deutschland GmbH. Mr. Tillmanns joined the company from HRS, where he worked as a Key Account Manager. Mr. Tillmanns has a classical hotel education from the Hotel Institute for Management in Montreux, Switzerland, and a long experience in the hotel industry.

Mr. Erik Floman, CEO of the Hotelzon Group says: “Our clients are hotels, corporations and travel agencies. For all these client groups, Hotelzon will now offer services and functionalities previously not available in the UK and German markets. The innovative Hotelzon Online booking portal offers hotels a cost effective and transparent distribution channel direct to thousands of corporate and travel agency customers, and now also GDS distribution. A hotel may then use one tool for all channels.”

The Hotelzon solution is integrated into hotel property management systems and will thus save process costs within a hotel. With over 15,000 corporate customers globally, including ABB, Ericsson, Ford and Volvo, Hotelzon is a new and very interesting distribution channel also for hotels in the UK and Germany. The GDS Access team of Hotelzon will move to the Hotelzon UK/Res-O-Tel premises in Sutton, Surrey.

For corporate clients, Hotelzon offers a state-of-the-art online booking solution which optimizes the processing costs. A wide selection of different rates available, location search and online reports are all features the corporate traveller requires. For corporate travel managers, Hotelzon Online offers a wide range of travel policy tools, which help reduce costs and improve control over corporate hotel programs. Both the new subsidiaries offer call center services in their respective markets in addition to offering the Hotelzon online products.
