First W in Texas is on Target
Victory, the 72-acre urban development in Downtown Dallas, today confirmed
that the W Dallas Victory Hotel & Residences, the first W Hotel in Texas
and the first W Residences product scheduled for completion in the United
States, is on target for a spring 2006 debut. The property will be a
centerpiece of Victory, an ambitious, new multi-purpose destination and
city district offering an eclectic and intriguing collection of emerging
and reputation retail outlets, distinctive dining, Class A office space,
mid-rise/hi-rise residences and signature entertainment venues. Victory is
a project of Hillwood, a Ross Perot, Jr., company. Currently under construction across from the $420-million American
Airlines Center in Dallas, the W Dallas Victory Hotel & Residences will
encompass two towers rising from a single base with ground-floor retail.
The project will feature 251 hotel rooms, 144 condominium units, a
vibrant, two- story living room lobby, signature restaurant, an outpost of
Las Vegas’ renowned Ghostbar nightclub, a 5,000-square-foot Bliss spa and
a 16th floor infinity pool and fitness facility overlooking Dallas.
Although first conceived as a single 33-story tower, incorporating hotel
rooms and 61 residential units, a new, 15-story residential tower has been
announced due to the rapid, near sellout of the initial offering. Located
to the south of the hotel tower, the new residential tower will encompass
83 one- , two-and three-bedroom residences, including some two-story
homes, plus a dedicated lap pool and fitness center.
“The south tower mirrors the offerings that made the north tower such a
unique and sought after hi-rise residential opportunity for prospective
tenants. It is hard to deny the combined appeal of the W brand, an ideal
location with immediate access to Victory—which promises to be one of
the most exciting new neighborhoods in the country—and an
extraordinary, modern home with a fantastic view,” said Jonas Woods,
President of Hillwood Capital, the development company for Victory.
The orientation of the W Dallas south tower will allow for postcard-
perfect vistas of the surrounding city while preserving sightlines for
residents of the hotel structure. Interiors, created by noted local
designer David Cadwallader, will incorporate premium finishes and will
provide a stunning backdrop for stylish living and entertaining with
flexible floor plans that will flow seamlessly into oversized terraces or
private rooftop gardens. Highlights include 10-foot ceilings and gourmet
kitchens with top-of- the-line appliances. A variety of upgrades will
offer prospective homeowners the ability to further customize their new
residences.
