Las Vegas Hilton Selects Agilysys System

Agilysys has announced that the Las Vegas Hilton has selected the Lodging
Management System, as well as modules LMS ShowGate and LMS ShowNet,
to streamline operations at the 3,000-room property. The Las Vegas Hilton
is owned by Colony Capital, LLC, Los Angeles. LMS is an integrated property management software system designed to
create economies of scale and provide greater control of front office,
accounting and housekeeping operations. The versatile front-office system
easily expands to incorporate additional software modules from Agilysys
and other vendors.

“We needed a robust and comprehensive property management system that was
designed to handle a hotel and casino operation of our size,” said Marc
Guarino, vice president of information technology for the Las Vegas
Hilton. “The flexibility and functionality of LMS allows us to improve
efficiency and enhance guest service.”

LMS ShowGate and LMS ShowNet work with the LMS property management system
to provide integrated theater, stadium and attraction ticketing services
with total venue management capability. The software offers a wide variety
of features and functionality such as choice of ticket assignment,
configurable controls, file maintenance and listing and numerous
method-of-payment options. The software also allows hotels to comp tickets
or charge them to a guest’s room or credit card. The Las Vegas Hilton is
using the system for ticketing at the 1,638-seat Hilton Theater and for
the 300-seat Shimmer Cabaret.

“In addition to a property management system, we needed a complete suite
of applications to allow us to remain competitive in the market,” said
Guarino. “Our decision to go with ShowGate, the LMS theater ticketing
module, was based on its ability to easily integrate with LMS. With our
recent signing of Barry Manilow to a long-term engagement, we needed a
ticketing system that would allow us not only to handle large volumes of
ticket purchases at the property, but also give us the ability to sell
tickets on the Internet. As the Las Vegas Hilton continues to bring big
name entertainers to Las Vegas, we are confident that we have the proper
systems in place to offer our customers high levels of service.”

“The Las Vegas Hilton’s decision to implement LMS and its modules LMS
ShowGate and LMS ShowNet clearly demonstrates a commitment to
state-of-the-art technology solutions,” said Bill Lashley, senior vice
president and general manager, Agilysys, Hospitality Solutions. “We are
confident our products will take the hotel to a new level of guest
service.”
