The luxury hotel with the highest five star rating in the Algarve,
Portugal, has just been completed at Vila Sol. The ultra modern 189-room
Vila Sol Spa and Golf Resort Hotel is also the only one built right next to
its own club house with 27-hole golf course.The Vila Sol Spa & Golf Resort in Vilamoura, 20 minutes from Faro airport,
is only for the luxury traveller. Room rates now for a Golf View Superior
room start at 250 Euros per night in medium season (16th February to 31 May
2005). A master suite in high season (16 July to 31 August) costs 1,000
Euro per night.

The main hotel building is a low rise, subtly curving “S” shape in
Portuguese terracotta with a series of modern garden suites discreetly
positioned amongst the pine trees on the exclusive Vila Sol Estate.
Arranged in clusters, they are linked by golf buggy paths, so no walking is
needed from bedroom to any of the three loops of nine about 200m away.     

Facilities at the hotel include a 490 sq m circular swimming pool, 110 sq m
children’s pool and children’s playground, floodlit tennis courts, the
largest full treatment luxury health spa in the Algarve, and extensive
conference facilities.     

There is also an art, music and theatre centre and sculpture park.  Vila
Sol Spa and Golf resort is right alongside the Vila Sol Club House, its
27-hole golf course, pro shop, driving range and golf academy.
