Cendant TDS’ Mitch Truwit to Keynote ResExpo 2005

Mitch Truwit, newly appointed chief
executive officer and president of Orbitz and CheapTickets, will deliver
the premier keynote address on March 3 at ResExpo 2005, which takes place
March 1-3 at Atlanta’s Omni CNN Center. “As a leader of Cendant’s diverse online consumer travel distribution
networks, Mitch Truwit’s insights for the industry will be of significant
value to ResExpo attendees from every sector of travel,” said Vela McClam-
Mitchell, co-owner and co-producer of ResExpo, and president and CEO of
Market Designs, LLC.

“We’re extremely pleased that ResExpo 2005 is the forum at which Mr.
Truwit will give his first industry address on behalf of Cendant TDS’
Consumer Travel Americas,” said Vickie Singer, president of Travel
Technology Source, LLC, co-owner and co-producer of ResExpo. “From his
current post running Orbitz and CheapTickets, and as the former executive
vice president and COO of Priceline.com, Mr. Truwit has a rich and unique
background for offering valuable insight on the industry.”

Themed “Big Ideas in Travel Distribution - From Revolution to Execution,”
ResExpo 2005 will provide an in-depth view of major transformations in
travel distribution, including the emergence of alternate distribution
systems, new technologies and business models-and in particular, the
opportunities they represent for every segment of the travel industry.
ResExpo 2005 places more emphasis than ever before on advancements within
the hospitality and lodging industry, including dynamic packaging and
related technologies.

Truwit is among several industry leaders who will speak at the conference.
Mike Hulley, president of EDS Transportation Global Industry Solutions,
will open the conference with a view of the major IT and business trends
shaping today’s travel industry. Terry Jones, founder of Travelocity,
current partner of Essential Ideas and chairman of the board for Kayak
Software, will share his vision of what’s to come for online travel.
Jeremy Wertheimer, president and CEO of ITA Software, will discuss his
company’s forthcoming GDS alternative and what it means for travel
suppliers, travel agents and other distributors. Alex Zohglin, president
and CEO, G2Switchworks, will discuss how his company’s technology will
allow disparate travel supplier systems to connect to systems in use by
today’s travel management companies.
