Northwest to Fly Nonstop to Cancun

Northwest Airlines today
announced that it will add new nonstop seasonal service from both
Milwaukee and Indianapolis to Cancun, Mexico, from Feb. 19 through April
30, 2005, pending final approval from the Mexican government. The new Milwaukee flight will be the only nonstop service operated by a
scheduled airline to Cancun.

The airline also announced that it will add a third daily frequency
between Milwaukee and Washington, beginning March 1, 2005.

“Northwest’s new nonstop service to Cancun will provide Southeastern
Wisconsin travelers with all of the conveniences and comforts that only a
scheduled airline can offer,” said Jim Cron, vice president of domestic
pricing and yield management. “In addition, our new mid-day service
between Milwaukee and Washington will provide business travelers with more
nonstop options.”

The new Cancun flights from both Indianapolis and Milwaukee will be
operated on Saturdays with Northwest’s modern Airbus A320 aircraft, with
16 seats in first class and 132 seats in coach class. Flight 1923 will
depart Indianapolis at 2:05 p.m., and arrive Cancun at 5:25 p.m. On the
return, flight 1922 will depart Cancun at 6:20 p.m., and arrive in
Indianapolis at 9:32 p.m. From Milwaukee, flight 1939 will depart at 2:20
p.m., arriving in Cancun at 6:10 p.m. On the return, flight 1938 will
depart Cancun at 7:10 p.m. and arrive in Milwaukee at 11:05 p.m.

“Our new flight to Cancun provides our many loyal customers in
Indianapolis with new opportunities to earn and redeem WorldPerks frequent
flyer miles and use Northwest’s fast self-service check-in options when
flying to one of their favorite vacation cities,” said Fay Beauchine, vice
president of sales and customer care. “Whether flying for business or
pleasure, Northwest has the experience, comprehensive domestic and
international network, and the know-how to meet the needs of travelers in
the Heartland of America.”

Northwest’s third flight from Milwaukee to Washington will be operated
daily by Northwest Airlink partner Pinnacle Airlines with Canadair
Regional Jets (CRJs) seating up to 50 passengers.

Northwest has been steadily adding nonstop flights from Indianapolis and
Milwaukee to popular business and leisure destinations throughout North
America. Cancun will be Northwest’s 21st nonstop destination and first
international service from Indianapolis, and 17th nonstop destination and
second international flight from Milwaukee.

In 2004 alone, Northwest announced new nonstop service from Milwaukee to
Baltimore, Ft. Myers, Fla., Kansas City, Mo., Pittsburgh, St. Louis and
Toronto, and announced additional frequencies to Boston, New York and
Washington. When the third Washington flight begins in March, Northwest
will offer up to 37 flights a day from Milwaukee, more than any global
network airline serving General Mitchell International Airport.

Also in 2004, Northwest announced new nonstop service from Indianapolis to
Boston, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Ft. Myers, Hartford,
Conn., Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, Fla.,
Philadelphia, Phoenix, Raleigh/Durham, N.C., Sarasota, Fla., Tampa, Fla.,
Washington and West Palm Beach, Fla. Northwest will offer up to 49 flights
a day from Indianapolis, more flights to more nonstop destinations than
any other airline serving Indianapolis International Airport.

Customers currently holding tickets on connecting itineraries to Cancun
can change to Northwest’s new nonstop service without paying an
administrative change fee by contacting Northwest or their travel agent by
January 15, 2005.

When the new flights are added, Northwest will offer up to eight flights
to Cancun from five U.S. cities, including two seasonal flights from its
WorldGateway at Detroit hub, three seasonal flights from its
Minneapolis/St. Paul hub, and one seasonal flight from both Indianapolis
and Milwaukee. Service is offered either daily or Saturday only, operated
during various periods during the peak winter and spring seasons. In
addition, Northwest offers one year-round flight from its Memphis, Tenn.
hub to Cancun.
