Grimmett will have primary responsibility for the execution of Delta
mergers, acquisitions and asset dispositions to include financial
evaluation, negotiation and execution of capital market activities. She
will also be responsible for all cash forecasting, liquidity analysis and
hedging programs. Grimmett is charged with implementation of best-practice
methodologies and processes within all aspects of this new role. In
announcing this move, Michael J. Palumbo, Delta’s executive vice president
and CFO stated, “Gail is an outstanding leader who has an extensive
background in finance and economics and almost 10 years experience within
Delta. She will play a critical role in Delta’s ongoing transformation
plan.”

In addition to her role in investor relations, Grimmett has previously
been Delta’s chief economist as well as director of financing planning.
Prior to joining Delta, Grimmett was a senior regulatory economist for the
U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration. She holds an MBA in
business economics from George Washington University and an undergraduate
degree in business from Indiana University.

Replacing Grimmett will be Laura Fuselier. In this role, she will be
responsible for Delta’s investor relations strategies and policies, along
with communications with investors and analysts. She will also oversee
shareholder services. Fuselier previously spent four years in the finance
organization within both financial reporting and investor relations. Most
recently, Fuselier served as general manager of performance measurement in
flight operations.

Prior to joining Delta, Fuselier was employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers,
LLP. She is a certified public accountant and holds a B.S. degree and a
Masters of Accountancy from the University of Alabama. “Communicating
effectively with Wall Street is especially critical during these
challenging times,” said Palumbo. “Laura brings tremendous insight into
her new role of leading Delta’s effort to manage its reputation within the
financial community.”
