Aloha Airlines Appoints C. Thomas Nulty

Aloha Airlines announced today that C.
Thomas Nulty, a recognized expert and proven travel industry
marketing veteran, has joined the company as senior vice president
marketing and sales. Nulty will oversee all of Aloha’s marketing
disciplines including sales, pricing/revenue management, advertising,
promotions, reservations, market planning and scheduling. “We’re elated and excited to have Thom with his market-savvy skills and
customer service orientation, spearhead our marketing efforts,” said Aloha
President and Chief Executive Officer David A. Banmiller. “We’re in for an
invigorating ride as he takes our airline and our expanding market
presence to unparalleled heights.”

A recognized and authoritative expert seen often on television, Nulty’s
credentials include numerous guest spot appearances on CNN, NBC’s Today
Show, ABC’s Evening News and Fox News Network, where he shares information
and views related to travel from an industry and consumer perspective. In
addition, he is sought after for comment and frequently quoted in major
news publications, including The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The Los
Angeles Times, Investor’s Business Daily and The New York Times.

Nulty has more than 30 years of experience combined in both the airline
and travel industries. In 2003, he retired as the president and chief
operating officer of Navigant International . During his nearly four-year
tenure as president, the company grew its global operations in 19
countries, became the second largest travel management company in North
America handling $6 billion in travel arrangements annually for clients,
and was named to the Forbes “Best Small Companies” list for two
consecutive years.

Prior to joining Navigant, Nulty was president of Associated Travel, a
large regional travel management company known for its industry leading
technology and for being the largest travel agency chain on the West
Coast. In 1997, Associated Travel was purchased by Navigant.

Nulty’s airline career began with American Airlines where he spent 14
years holding various staff, line and executive positions. From his career
at American, Nulty moved on to become senior vice president of marketing
for Carlson Travel Network, a large global travel agency and vice
president and general sales manager for Continental Airlines. Nulty also
served in the U.S. Army as an artillery officer, public information
officer and general’s aide.

“This is a dream come true for me,” said Nulty. “Joining Aloha at this
juncture in my career gives me the rare opportunity to combine my passion
for airlines and the travel industry with my love of Hawaii. At the same
time, it presents me with the professional challenge of taking an
extraordinary and still little-known airline, and moving it up to a much
higher level.”

Nulty’s love for Hawaii began at the age of 13 when he journeyed to the
Islands with his parents on board the Lurline, the renowned ocean liner
that served Hawaii from California. Since then, Nulty’s passion for Hawaii
as a sand and sea destination has drawn him back to the Islands hundreds
of times.

An active community volunteer, Nulty has been a member of the Dean’s
Advisory Board for the Graduate School of Business at the University of
California at Irvine. He is an active supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness
and Education and has served as a trustee of the Orange County Museum of
Art.

Nulty studied economics and business administration at the University of
Utah on an athletic scholarship. With Aloha’s ongoing focus aimed at
expanding its route network between the continental U.S. and Hawaii, Nulty
will split his time residing in both Hawaii and in Southern California.
