A seven-year-old boy has fallen to his death during a family skiing holiday in the French Alps.
The boy, who has been named as Carwyn Scott-Howell from Talybont-on-Usk, had been on holiday with his mother, brother and sister, when he reportedly asked to ski alone and became separated from them.
He fell 160ft (49m) from a cliff to his death, according to police reports.
The Foreign Office said the accident happened in Flaine, 38 miles north west of Chamonix, on Friday. They are providing consular assistance.
