AngloINFO ends 2012 with 105 expat websites across the world
AngloINFO, the global expat network, announced today that it has ended 2012 with 105 expatriate websites globally, of which 26 were launched in the last 12 months, demonstrating its commitment to expanding its strong network of websites which provide clear, reliable and trustworthy information for expatriate communities all around the world.
AngloINFO currently has 75 regional and 31 national websites, in 36 countries, making its coverage truly global.
Launches in 2012 include websites in the world’s leading expatriate locations such as:
* Americas - Buenos Aires (Argentina), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Panama City (Panama), USA
* Asia - Perth (Australia), Tokyo (Japan), Jakarta (Indonesia), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Seoul (South Korea), China
* Europe - Copenhagen (Denmark), Istanbul (Turkey), Hamburg, Frankfurt, North Rhine Westphalia and Munich (Germany)
Over the past 12 years, AngloINFO has built the world’s largest network of websites for English-speaking expats. It operates around the world providing vital support and information to the local international communities. Its local websites provide detailed day-to-day support to people living in a particular region, while its national websites are specifically geared to addressing the needs of those who are in the process of moving, or looking to move.
AngloINFO’s Chief Executive, Tony Salter, commented “2012 was indeed, a milestone year for AngloINFO. Not only did we launch AngloINFO in an incredible number of new markets, but we have also developed and launched a completely new platform for our consumer-facing websites after twelve years”.
“As part of this new platform, we have created a global member database with the aim of making AngloINFO easier and easier to use – we have over 600,000 active members already registered and there are around 5,000 new members joining every month. We have exciting plans to provide further services to our members during 2013 and believe that integrating our global network will be an important part of that development”, stated Mr.Salter
A core driver of AngloINFO’s consistent success is the strategy to bring in local franchisees that know their market and are able to integrate closely with their local expat communities. Throughout 2012, AngloINFO welcomed 15 new franchisees, of which 65% of these were outside Europe in major expat population centres.
AngloINFO is continuing its rapid expansion into expat markets around the world and now has a truly global footprint.
Looking ahead, Tony Salter added “Despite the economic climate, things continue to look bright for AngloINFO. Just before the end of the year, we launched websites in two major markets – in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and Jakarta, in Indonesia. So far in 2013, we have already launched India and Melbourne with Shanghai soon to follow – with every new launch, we are helping to make the world smaller, and more importantly, easier to navigate for our huge community of expat users worldwide.
2013 is looking very promising, and we continue to look for business-savvy franchisees around the world. Priority locations to be covered by AngloINFO in the near future include Auckland, Bangalore, Cape Town, Bogota, New York, Mumbai, Mexico City, Oslo and Delhi, among others”, concluded Mr. Salter.
