Amadeus signs content agreement with Thai Airways

Amadeus and Thai Airways International, the flag carrier of Thailand, have signed a long-term, full content agreement that enables the airline to reach Amadeus’ network of travel agencies across the world.

Amadeus users worldwide will now have guaranteed access to the entire range of fares, schedules and availability relating to more than 18 million seats sold annually by THAI and its new brand, THAI Smile.

Under the new agreement, Amadeus users will have access to the same THAI content and under the same conditions as those offered through the airline’s direct channels and any other distribution channels including content distributed through the airline’s ticketing office, call centres and website.

“Amadeus has proven to be an outstanding partner to THAI over the past two decades, supporting us as we move towards becoming the leading airline in Asia and among the best worldwide.

“We are pleased to expand our partnership with Amadeus, ensuring that travel agents worldwide enjoy the highest level of access to our full range of content and services,” said THAI executive vice president, commercial, Danuj Bunnag.

THAI and Amadeus have enjoyed a long term partnership since 1990, when the airline became Amadeus’ first Asian customer.

Ever since, the airline has implemented different Amadeus solutions including Amadeus’ revenue maximisation solutions that have helped the airline maximise profitability.
