Amadeus reveals launch customers for new mobile app

Amadeus has announced that West East travel in the UK and Atlas Travel in Ireland are the launch customers for a new Amadeus mobile solution for travel agencies in Western Europe.

Specifically designed for the UK’s rapidly growing Smartphone user base, the new Amadeus mobile solution delivers an optimised itinerary management experience and not simply a cloned online travel site that has been shoe-horned to fit mobile devices.

Kevin Huynh, managing director, West East Travel said: “We are using technology to get our products and offers to the right customers at the right time.

“Amadeus has allowed us to build upon our multi-channel strategy and with the implementation of our West East travel app, we now serve our customers more effectively, improving our levels of service.

“This app helps us connect more personally to our customers too, not just in terms of booking, but with real time information for their travel plans, allowing us to notify them of any flight disruptions or schedule changes, as and when it happens.


“It also enables us to enter new markets and compete with larger competitors.”

The app assists travel sellers to strengthen their customer relationships throughout the duration of their trip.

It has been engineered to enable travel agencies to offer travellers pre-trip, in-trip and post-trip information and booking functionality, greatly enhancing the services they are able to offer customers via their mobile phone.
