The Americas Meetings & Events Exhibition (www.aibtm.com) announced the addition of a new specialty area called the Future Events Experience at AIBTM 2012, Reed Travel Exhibitions’ premier provider for the U.S. Meetings, Incentive, Business Travel and Events industry.
After its successful launch last year at EIBTM (www.aibtm.com), the Future Events Experience will become part of a new feature on the AIBTM show floor. Through a partnership with Newtonstrand Innovations Ltd and SyncPartners, AIBTM will provide meeting planners with insights on both current and new technologies that are driving the way events are planned for the future.
This hands-on, interactive demonstration will allow attendees to play, touch, feel and experience the most cutting edge technology while featuring:
· Chance2Speak: Step out of the crowd and on to the stage. The Chance2Speak portion of the Future Events Experience allows selected exhibitors to give a 10-15 minute demonstration or presentation of their choice.
· “Ask the Experts Panel”: Technology experts will be available throughout the day to discuss topics and answer relevant questions asked by the audience. These education sessions will be streamed throughout social media platforms and AIBTM’s website (www.aibtm.com).
· ePosters: Give your brand or new technology extra exposure by uploading brochures to interactive screens located throughout the Future Events Experience. Attendees will be able to view your promotional materials through QR codes or accessible download links.
· Chance2Meet: Meet face-to-face with attendees who are interested in technology. Chance2Meet is a networking area at the Future Event Experience where exhibitors can demonstrate their products or services.
“After such a successful launch at EIBTM, we are pleased to be introducing the Future Events Experieince to this year’s AIBTM programme,” said Craig Moyes, Portfolio Director, IBTM Global Events Portfolio, Reed Travel Exhibitions. “This experimental opportunity allows attendees to get inside innovative technology and take one-on-one guided tours in order to gain a better understanding of how to use the tools of the future of meeting planning.”
“Technology is becoming more of a key issue and conversation theme in industry gatherings. This area is a chance for delegates to network, learn about technology industry trends and interact with the latest technology products available. This type of area is essential at events today to allow all delegates to get involved,” said Shuli Golovinski, CEO of Newtonstrand Innovations Ltd.
“Our goal is to create a collaborative environment that simulates an event which can then operate as a template for other event organizers to learn from,” said Adi Ben-Nesher, SyncPartners. “We are excited to be introducing AIBTM attendees to this interactive experience this year. Our hope is that through this newly added feature, the future of the meeting and events industry will begin today.”
The Future Events Experience will create more educational opportunities, facilitate presentations from the area stage and interviews with experts to be broadcasted on AIBTM’s website, as well as their social media channels. The area will be making use of the Twitter hash tag #AIBTMfuture.
