Abu Dhabi named ultimate beach holiday destination
Abu Dhabi has been named as the ultimate beach holiday destination ebookers.com Beach Reporters. The claim concludes a three week, 30,000 mile search across Europe, Egypt and UAE for the ideal beach destination.
The Mediterranean-inspired St Regis resort in Abu Dhabi’s, which is situated away from the hustle and bustle of the city on Saadiyat Island, was found to tick all the boxes.
Abu Dhabi is proving to be a new, undiscovered gem amongst Brits as ebookers.com searches to this culture rich emirate have a year-to-date increase of over a third (37%) from the same period last year.
Similarly, searches to other destinations favoured by the Beach Reporters have soared since the beginning of the year compared to 2011, including Dubrovnik (58%) and Mallorca (39%).

In May this year, ebookers.com, one of Europe’s largest online travel agents, carried out research to discover more about couples’ holiday habits.
The poll of 2,000 adults revealed that 72% of Brits favour a beach holiday, so ebookers’ recruited the Beach Reporters to help find the ultimate beach destination.
The couple was selected after successfully completing a four stage interview process which included a written application, a short telephone interview, Facebook fan votes and a face-to-face interview testing their written and presentation skills.
