Abe Hernandez named Head Golf Professional at Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas

Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas welcomes Abe Hernandez as the new Head Golf Professional to the Resort. Hernandez is an award-winning PGA Class A professional with more than 10 years experience in managing golf operations. The announcement was made by Four Seasons Director of Golf Paul Earnest.

In his new role, Hernandez is responsible for the day to day operations of golf play and golf tournaments at the 36 hole facility that includes 600 golf members. He will also provide ongoing support to the customer service, instruction and retail operations at the Resort. His skills will also be important during the Resort’s annual hosting of the HP Byron Nelson Championship, a PGA TOUR event and the largest professional golf tournament in Texas.

Hernandez joins Four Seasons from Royal Oaks Country Club, where he served as first assistant golf professional, a position he held for seven years. He worked closely with renowned golf instructor Randy Smith.

Prior to joining the staff at Royal Oaks, Hernandez served as first assistant golf professional at the Golf Club of Dallas. Hernandez has previous sales and management experience at The Royal Soap Company, Green Tree Country Club and Mission Dorado Country Club, all based in Texas.

Hernandez has accumulated several awards and honours for his accomplishments in the golf industry. He was named the 2008 NTPGA Assistant Golf Professional of the Year as well as the 2010 NTPGA Metro Chapter Assistant Golf Professional of the Year. He currently serves on both the Junior Golf and Education Committees for North Texas PGA, and has held the title of Fundraising Chairman since 2009. He is a 1992 graduate of the University of Texas of the Permian Basin with a degree in Business Management.
