Voyages of Discovery today announced the appointment of Miranda Krestovnikoff, the high profile British television presenter specialising in natural history, marine conservation, archaeology and wildlife, to serve as Godmother to mv Voyager – the 540 passenger ship which is joining the Voyages of Discovery fleet next month.
Voyages of Discovery’s new ship mv Voyager arrived in Portland early this morning to begin the final stage of its refurbishment. The ship will undertake a month long refurbishment in port with international contracting company, Mivan, before her maiden voyage to the Caribbean on the 4 December.

Voyager is due to arrive at Queens Pier, Portland (Dorset) on 1 November 2012 for a month long refurbishment ahead of its maiden voyage on 4 December 2012.
