Tauck has released the first photos of its innovative lower-level “loft” cabins. Under a new policy, guests will now enjoy unlimited beer, wine and premium spirits throughout the day aboard Tauck’s four existing Jewel Class ships and on its two new Inspiration Class ships launching this year. Travelers on Tauck’s riverboats had previously enjoyed unlimited wine and beer with onboard meals only.

Tauck has disclosed the names of the two new riverboats it will launch next year, and announced that the ships will each be considerably longer than the four sister-ships that currently comprise the company’s fleet. The new ships, the ms Inspire and ms Savor, will both be 443 feet long, compared to Tauck’s existing ships which each measure 361 feet. Despite being 23% longer, the two newbuilds will only accommodate 130 guests each, or just 10% more than its current ships.

Tauck has announced a new 16-day land and sea exploration of Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore centered around an 11-day cruise aboard the new luxury small ship, Le Soléal. Scheduled to launch this summer in Italy, the 466-foot ship has a capacity of 264 passengers and it will also be featured on selected 2013 sailings of Tauck’s cruise exploration of Iceland.

Tauck is seeing robust growth in preseason bookings for its 2013 small ship ocean cruises, the company announced today. According to Tauck CEO Dan Mahar, sales for the coming year’s cruise departures are running 50% ahead of last year, and a whopping 120% ahead of two years ago.
