Hong Kong-based Rosewood Hotel Group has strengthened its executive team with the appointment of Niamh O’Connell to the newly created position of group vice president of wellness development. In her role, O’Connell will lead and supervise the strategic, global development of spa, wellness and recreation operations for the group’s existing hotels and new projects.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has been appointed by Cambodia-based property developer Vattanac Properties to manage Rosewood Siem Reap, scheduled to open in 2019. It will be the second Rosewood property in Cambodia, following Rosewood Phnom Penh opening in 2016, also owned by Vattanac Properties, and marks Rosewood’s ninth hotel management agreement in Asia.
Rosewood Hotels and Resorts is set to open its first property in South America. The Rosewood Sao Paulo, which features 151 rooms and 114 private residence suites, is located in the centre of the Brazilian city and is scheduled to open in 2018.
