Marco Novella has been appointed the position of managing director of Brown’s Hotel, the renowned London property for Rocco Forte Hotels. While being based primarily at Brown’s Hotel, Novella will also oversee two other hotels within the group; The Balmoral in Edinburgh and Hotel Amigo in Brussels.

Peter Kienast has been appointed the position of general manager of Hotel de Rome, the Rocco Forte hotel located on the illustrious Bebelplatz in Berlin. Overseeing all aspects of the Berlin award winning hotel, Kienast will be responsible for day to day operations and strategic direction of the hotel, including the 145 rooms and suites, the newly launched La Banca restaurant and bar, the historic ballroom, the seasonal roof terrace as well as the Hotel de Rome Spa and meeting and conferencing offerings.
Rocco Forte Hotels has announced a strategic partnership with Fondo Strategico Italiano Spa, the Italian State-backed sovereign fund 80 per cent controlled by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and 20 per cent by Bank of Italy. It has a paid-up share capital of €4.4 billion. FSI will inject £60 million into Rocco Forte and Family in exchange for an equity stake of 23 per cent, valuing the enlarged equity at £260 million.
