Carlson Rezidor links with Travelport GDS systems
Travelport has completed the development of an advanced interface between Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s central reservations system, Curtis-C and Travelport’s global distribution systems. By implementing Travelport Hotel XML Supplier Link technology, Carlson Rezidor now transmits its content directly to Travelport’s Worldspan, Galileo and Apollo GDS platforms, eliminating the costs, inefficiencies and data restrictions of routing content via a third party.
Rezidor signed four new hotel projects and opened five new hotels in Q4-2012
The Rezidor Hotel Group signed four new hotels with over 1,200 rooms and opened five new hotels with 1,100 rooms in the fourth quarter of 2012. Year-to-date, the group added 30 hotels with 7,100 rooms to its pipeline and opened 18 hotels featuring 4,000 rooms. Two franchised hotels with 250 rooms left the system in Q4. A total of five hotels and 700 rooms left the system in 2012, resulting in net openings of 3,200 rooms.
Rezidor converts two leases in Sweden to franchise agreements
The Rezidor Hotel Group today announced the conversion of two lease agreements, the Park Inn by Radisson Malmö and the Park Inn by Radisson Hammarby Sjöstad, in Sweden to franchise agreements.
Moore to head up Rezidor in UK & Ireland
The Rezidor Hotel Group has promoted Richard Moore to area vice president of all brands in the UK & Ireland. In his new role, which begins with immediate effect; Richard is responsible for all 48 properties in Rezidor’s UK & Ireland area portfolio across the Hotel Missoni, Park Inn by Radisson and Radisson Blu brands.
New head of group development for Rezidor
The Rezidor Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Elie Younes as senior vice president, head of group development, effective January 1st 2013. Younes joined Rezidor’s regional office in Dubai in April 2010 as vice president, business development Middle East & Africa, and took over the interim leadership of Rezidor’s corporate development department in October 2012.
Rezidor opens Radisson Blu Hotel, Nantes, France
The Rezidor Hotel Group has opened the Radisson Blu Hotel, Nantes directed by general manager Cyril Casabo. The company’s youngest French flagship is housed in the former Court of Justice – an elegant building that was constructed in 1851 and served as the Nantes Law Court until 2000.
Two new Radisson Blu hotels set to open in Germany
The Rezidor Hotel Group has announced two new Radisson Blu hotels in Germany. Both are existing properties - the Radisson Blu Hotel Dortmund will be re-branded in January 2013; the Radisson Blu Hotel Bremen will follow in June 2013.
Rezidor exits from seven leases in France
The Rezidor Hotel Group announced an agreement to exit from seven lease agreements in France by the end of the year.
Rezidor announces the Park Inn by Radisson Astana, Kazakhstan

Kurt Ritter to step down from Rezidor Hotel Group
The Rezidor Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Wolfgang Neumann to the positions of president and chief executive as long-serving chief Kurt Ritter steps down. Neumann currently serves as chief operating officer for the organisation and will step up to the hot-seat on January 1st.
