Basterrechea takes up chief operating officer role with Rezidor
Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed Chema Basterrechea to the role of chief operating officer. Basterrechea had been chief operating officer at NH Hotel Group, prior to his appointment with Rezidor, and follows former NH chief executive Federico González-Tejera to the company.

Rezidor Hotel Group signs two Saudi Arabia properties
The Rezidor Hotel Group has signed Radisson Blu Hotel, Dhahran Square and Radisson Blu Residence, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, in partnership with Tanami Arabia. The new properties will be located in the business district of Dhahran, a city in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom.
Radisson Red set to open in Georgia in 2019
The Rezidor Hotel Group has signed the first Radisson Red in Georgia, Radisson Red Chavchavadze. The new build city centre stand-alone hotel will be located in the heart of the city on Chavchavadze Street, is expected to open its doors in mid-2019, and will feature around 100 rooms.
Rezidor continues expansion in Russia with new Moscow property
The Rezidor Hotel Group has signed the Park Inn by Radisson Izmailovo, Moscow. The new property is the latest addition to the group’s portfolio of 35 hotels in Russia including 21 Park Inn by Radisson properties with 5,400 rooms. The hotel will be operated under a franchise agreement.
Rezidor and Prizeotel plan joint hotel in Erfurt, Germany
The Rezidor Hotel Group and prizeotel have confirmed their second joint hotel project in Erfurt, eastern Germany. The prizeotel Erfurt-City, featuring 208 rooms, will open its doors in 2019 at a premium location with a direct connection to Erfurt central train station, at the start of the urban development project ‘ICE City’. prizeotel founder Marco Nussbaum, said: “I am very pleased to bring our second joint project to market, within eight months of the announcement of our partnership with The Rezidor Hotel Group.”

Rezidor is introducing the lifestyle select brand Radisson RED to Dubai. Located in Dubai’s Silicon Oasis, a community designed to facilitate and promote modern technology based industries, the 171-room Radisson RED Dubai Silicon Oasis is expected to open in Q3 2018.
