Qatar Airways Cargo has announced it will launch a new freighter route to Dallas/Fort Worth commencing operations on January 19th, 2016, increasing its network to six freighter destinations in the Americas. A Qatar Airways Cargo Boeing 777F will fly two times a week to Dallas from Liege.

Qatar Airways today becomes the first airline to fly the Airbus A350 to the United States. The ferry flight left Hamad International Airport this morning at 07:40 local time and will land in at JFK International at approximately 14:00 local time. Qatar Airways was the global launch carrier of the A350 and is the first to fly the aircraft to three continents; the airline’s fleet of seven A350s currently flies twice a day to Frankfurt, daily to Munich and three times a day to Singapore from Doha.

Qatar Airways has signed a code-share agreement with Danish carrier SUN-AIR, a franchise of British Airways. Qatar Airways is continuing its rapid growth and responding to increasing demand within Europe with a substantial increase in flight frequencies to Stockholm in Sweden, Copenhagen in Denmark and Brussels in Belgium. From December 1st 2015, flights from Doha to Stockholm, Sweden, will expand from a ten-times weekly service to 13 flights per week, a capacity increase of 30 per cent on the route. The increase is seasonal and valid until March 25th 2016.
