Quay Grand Suites Sydney has confirmed it will rebrand as the Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour, signalling an expansion of the five-star Pullman brand in Australia. Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour joins two other Pullmans in Sydney – Pullman Sydney Olympic Park and Pullman Sydney Hyde Park (currently completing a massive upgrading programme following its re-branding from Sydney Marriott in May 2012).

Hotel operator Accor is expanding its brand portfolio in the UK with the opening its first Pullman branded property in London this month following a complete refurbishment. Accor has announced the sale of the Pullman Paris Rive Gauche (617 rooms) to Bouygues Immobilier for €77 million, in line with its asset-right strategy. The hotel, whose operating performance and technical standards fall below Group requirements, will shut down in 2012. The contract also includes an earn-out mechanism, whose amount will depend on the terms and conditions of the reconstruction project.

Pullman has announced the official opening of Pullman Lijiang Resort & Spa in China’s south-western Yunnan Province. Consisting of 79 villas and 51 deluxe rooms, the new property in Lijiang, a city which is often dubbed as China’s “Forgotten Kingdom,” is Pullman’s fourth resort in the country.
