Following a celebratory open-air Mass at Bellahouston Park, Pope Benedict XVI has flown to London to continue his state visit. During a frantic day the Pope will lead an assembly of children, make a speech at Westminster Hall and hold joint prayers with the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Pope Benedict XVI will begin an historic visit to the United Kingdom today, flying to Edinburgh Airport ahead of a meeting with Her Majesty the Queen. The visit is the first to the UK by a Pontiff since a pastoral visit by John Paul II in 1982.
