P&O Cruises has made a short video showcasing ‘behind the design’ of Britannia, the largest cruise ship ever created for the British market. A teaser clip of the full video coming later this month, it provides a sneak preview of the making of P&O Cruises new 141,000 tons cruise ship, which is scheduled to enter service in spring 2015.
P&O Cruises to name new ship Britannia
P&O Cruises has announced that its new 141,000 tons cruise ship, scheduled to enter service in spring 2015, will be named Britannia. Speaking today in London, P&O Cruises & Carnival UK chief executive officer David Dingle said: “Britannia is a most fitting name for the newest addition to P&O Cruises, which, with its long and famous heritage, remains Britain’s favourite cruise line.”
P&O Cruises names team for new ship
P&O Cruises has announced its senior management team for its new 141,000-tonne cruise ship. Captains Paul Brown and David Pembridge will alternately lead the shipboard team, supported by deputy captains Martin Allen and Hamish Sunter and executive pursers Darljit Sharma and Keith de la Mare.
