Federal judge finds in favour of American Airlines in antitrust case
A federal judge in the United States has denied a request by Orbitz Worldwide, Sabre Holdings and Travelport to have a lawsuit filed by American Airlines dismissed. The suit alleges accuses the companies of antitrust violations.
Orbitz fined for failing to display baggage-fees
The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has fined online ticket agent Orbitz $50,000 for failing to clearly display baggage fees on its website, following a new rule which went into effect in January this year. Orbitz has been directed to cease and desist from further violations.

Online travel agency Orbitz Worldwide has reported a lower second quarter profit than expected, while also cutting its full-year growth forecast. Shares in the online booking agent fell 20 per cent, as continued economic uncertainty hit confidence in the business.
