Norwegian will launch a new route from London Gatwick to Singapore this winter as the airline’s growing low-cost long-haul UK network expands into Asia for the first time. From September, Norwegian will operate four weekly flights, increasing to five in the winter, from London Gatwick to Singapore Changi Airport.

Norwegian has reported highest ever passenger figures for a single year, with almost 30 million passengers flying in 2016. The airline also achieved a load factor of 88 per cent last year. The launch of 34 new routes and a substantial increase of intercontinental traffic contributed considerably to the growth, the airline said earlier.
